Taylor Manufacturing Systems to Provide Production Scheduling Solution for American Technical Ceramics TESS®Expected to Increase On-Time Delivery, Reduce Setup Time at Capacitor and Thin Film Products Plants in New York and Florida

Atlanta-Software developer Taylor Manufacturing Systems, Inc., announced today that American Technical Ceramics (ATC) has selected a TESS®solution for scheduling the production of porcelain capacitors and thin film products at its plants in Huntington Station, NY and Jacksonville, FL.

“We are looking forward to helping ATC achieve measurable performance improvements in on-time delivery dates, optimized work center capacity, and reduced setup time,” said Dan Gibson, vice president of Taylor's TESS Division.

According to Gibson, effective solutions represent a combination of process improvement and technology. “Our Professional Services Team is highly focused on a partnership approach that uses ATC's and Taylor's experience to create a flexible system that meets ATC's business objectives,” he said.

“One challenge we expect TESS to meet at our Advanced Technology Center in Jacksonville,” said Judah Wolf, vice president of ATC's Custom Thin Film Products Group, “will be improving efficiency and capacity planning in a 'job shop' production scheduling environment.”

The Windows®-based TESS advanced production scheduling solution, which was introduced in 1995, is widely known for its interactive Gantt Chart, What-If? decision support, powerful algorithms, and real-time scheduling capabilities in complex, demand-driven manufacturing environments.
