Pfizer Pharmaceuticals International Chooses TESS
October 1997 - Taylor Manufacturing Systems (TMS) and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals International have entered into an agreement for a global rollout of TESS, the Taylor Execution Scheduling System.
The scheduling and execution capabilities of TESS will improve plant schedule generation, increase throughput, and reduce inventory carrying costs, as has already been proven in several sites throughout the U.S. and Europe. “We reviewed several different packages from the U.S., Europe and Japan for the areas of scheduling logic, technical architecture and usability,” said Adam Clark, Project Manager MIS, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals International.
“We found TESS to be the best package suited for pharmaceutical and process scheduling, and we are in the process of implementing it in our strategic manufacturing facilities throughout the world. We think TESS is critical not only for providing the best possible customer service amid the complexities of global supply but also to ensure we optimize our return on assets (resource utilization).”
